Chaptes 4,5,6

Responsibility by paarthea, GodSentAnAngel
Author's Notes:
Jost makes a plan, Dani speaks her mind, and Bill makes his own plans
AN: I'm still a little unsure about this chapter, but i was too excited to wait for my sis to beta it, so sorry if it's horrible

Jost had totally flipped out. He had ranted for nearly an hour, how Tom should have known better, That sex was not a game, that he should have made sure the girl was on some sort of birth control, and what would he do if the press heard about it, that now he would have to make the baby disappear.

Bill’ face had darkened when Jost had said that, but Tom seemed unconcerned.

Then Jost had decided that it was all a scam, and that they would get a lawyer involved. That the girl should have known better than to mess with rock stars, that it would be exposed as a scam and that Tom had nothing to fear, it would all blow over soon.

Tom acted as if Jost wasn’t even in the room; he simply stared out the window. Bill noticed how quiet his twin had been lately; although he was the calmer of the two it was still so unnatural.

When Jost left to call their lawyer, Bill sat next to his brother.

“What’s wrong Tomi?” he asked, making puppy eyes at his twin. Tom simply looked him in the eye, then stood and walked form the room.

“How could you be so irresponsible? You’re only nineteen for Pete’s sake! A rock star! Do you know what kind of diseases they carry?” Dani listened to her mother rant; truthfully she was too overwhelmed to really notice. But the comment about diseases caught her ear.

“Mom, it’s not like he was some rat! We used a condom!”

“Oh? Just how did you wind up pregnant then?”

“I-it broke.” Dani trailed off, this really wasn’t helping her.

“Look, mom I understand how foolish it was okay? But it’s a little late now.” She took a deep breath and continued.

“I’ve decided to keep it.” She watched as her mothers face went form red to white in a matter of moments.

“You can’t be serious.” Her mother gasped. Dani straitened her shoulders and looked her mother in the eye.

“I’m dead serious. I’m keeping it, and nothing you say can convince me otherwise. I’ve been given this responsibility, and I am going to do my best to see it through, and you can either help or hinder me. I’d really prefer it if you’d help though.”

Her mothers face softened for a moment, and then grew serious.

“You really want to go through with this?” she asked, sounding almost scared.

“Yes.” Her voice sounded stronger than she felt, and for that Dani was secretly proud. Inside she felt like breaking down and crying, but she had already done that and it hadn’t helped; only made her more exhausted.

“I’m going to bed; we can talk later ‘k? Right now I’m too tired. I’d like to see a doctor though, so maybe you could get me an appointment?” Dani spoke around a yawn as she headed up the stairs to her room, waving goodnight to her suddenly quiet mother.

Clair was actually rather proud of her daughter, she was a responsible young woman, she never caused her any troubles, until recently, and she had handled herself quite calmly through the whole fight. Clair felt like the emotional teenager in the situation, while Dani seemed the reasonable adult.

Clair was so scared for her baby girl though, no one should have to care for a child by themselves.

After calming down, Clair phoned her doctor and made an appointment for her daughter, praying all the while that they would be strong enough to deal with this.

Bill was thinking crazy, he knew it, but really he couldn’t get the idea that he might be an uncle, out of his head. It made him so happy and yet so scared at the same time, he had to remind himself that it wasn’t proven yet.

He looked down at the letter in his hand and the envelope in his other. It said that she would provide proof if needed. He looked at the return address on the envelope.

#14 153 Gabriela Crescent
Nanaimo BC Canada
N1W 7J8 *

Canada, well they weren’t too far away right now, they were nearing the end of a two week 'break' in Alaska, not Bill’s Idea of a vacation getaway, but the rest of the band had voted him down. They argued that snow boarding was way better than sun tanning. Bill wasn’t convinced, his knees and ass still hut like crazy.

He absently rubbed his ass as he remembered a particularly bad fall; thankfully he’d managed to keep his face injury free. Tom on the other hand hadn’t fallen once when Bill was looking, and frankly Bill had followed Tom everywhere that day, stupidest decision ever.

The one he was about to make, though, had the potential to leave that one in the dust.

He reached into his pocked for his cell phone he stared at it for a moment and then flipped it open and dialed.
End Notes:
I'd like to get a banner for this fic...but i can't find any pictures that would suit it. help?
* I made this address up.

also the 'break' is still work time for the boys just no shows, so a little more time for extracurricular fun

Dani felt horrible, she was tired, hungry (yet unable to keep any food down), and had to pee again. ‘Not again, I didn’t even drink anything this morning,’ she thought miserably to herself.

Her mother had woken her up at quarter past seven for her doctor’s appointment at eight. Dani felt like telling her mom to shove it, but figured the sooner she got it all over with the sooner she could go to bed, and hopefully stay there all weekend.

With a quiet groan she stood up from her chair in the waiting room, her mother looked at her strangely but let her go. She made her way back to the receptionist’s desk. “Um, excuse me?” She spoke urgently as she crossed her legs as inconspicuously as possible.

The receptionist, who was on the phone, held up a finger that was meant as a sign for her to wait, but Dani was impatient “Bathroom?” She whispered to the overly talkative woman. The woman rolled her eyes then she pointed to her left and mouthed ‘down the hall.’

“Thank you!” Dani shouted as she made a mad dash for the toilet.

*~~~Baby~~~Kaulitz~~~*

“Miss Milton, let me guess. Forgot to take your birth control?”

Dani immediately disliked the female doctor. The woman was in her late twenties and was actually attractive, but that had little to do with her dislike of the woman, no the woman spoke to her in the most degrading manner.

“The condom broke,” Clair offered, only to be glared at by her daughter.

“I was extremely surprised to hear that you want to keep the baby, are you sure that is what you want to do Dani?”

Dr. St Marie’s very tone portrayed an assumed aloofness, a rather unpleasant emotion for one to sense coming from their physician. “Yes.” Dani didn’t bother to elaborate. “I’d also like to take a test to determine who the father is.”

“So you are unaware of who the father may be?” Dr. St Marie raised her eyebrow and wrote in her little tablet notebook.

“No, I know who it is; he just won’t believe me without proof. I read something on the internet, about how you can determine the babies DNA within the first trimester?” Dani preferred getting straight to the point, she was never one to procrastinate, or unnecessarily draw things out.

This time the doctor looked a little surprised.

“Yes, it’s called a prenatal paternity test. We insert a needle through your abdominal wall and extract a placental villus sampling. It then takes us seven to ten days to determine the DNA, and an extra three to match it.” Dr. St Marie walked to the tiny shelf holding a few pamphlets, picked one and handed it to Dani.

“This should help explain what takes place in the procedure. We can schedule one for you, just talk to Joan at reception.”

Dani accepted the pamphlet and grumbled to herself about having to deal with the receptionist again. Clair asked a few more questions of the Dr. Then scheduled an appointment for the seventeenth of June and they were ready to go. Dani couldn’t be more relieved.

“Saki? I need a plane to Nanaimo.”

Bill had just confirmed Dani Milton’s address and now he was putting the second part of his plan into action as quickly as possible. He knew that if he stopped to think about what he was doing, that he might chicken out and Bill would not let himself chicken out of anything.

“A.S.A.P,” Bill answered as he stared at his nails; they needed to be painted again. “Yeah, tonight is good.” He switched his phone to his other ear as he opened his makeup bag looking for the nail polish remover.

“Seven thirty?” He removed his old nail polish and began to apply a new layer of black as he waited for confirmation that his flight had been booked. “No, just me,” He smiled and blew on his nails, even though he knew it wouldn’t help them dry any faster. Bill beamed when the man on the other side of the phone told him he was ready to go.

“Thank you Saki.”

With a flip of the cell phone, his plans were set in motion, and his nails looked much better, now for the white tips.

Clair was in the kitchen when the intercom buzzed. She quickly rinsed her hands and made her way the intercom console. “Yes, who is it?” She was a little surprised to have a visitor so late at night.

Ich bin in Nanaimo by paarthea, GodSentAnAngel
Author's Notes:

Bill carries out the last step of his plan, and Dani has an unexpected visitor.

AN: okay so there is a little German further on. In the majority of the fic the characters are speaking English, because they are in an English speaking county.

As an exception the twins will always speak to each other in German unless otherwise stated but unless another character that doesn’t speak German is present their words will appear English, if a non German speaking character is present I will translate the twins sentences for you in italics.

My German translations may not be correct but I used a web site so blame them.

Please enjoy!

And a thank you to my beta kuhlaire

Bill was stumped for a moment, should he tell the woman on the other side who he was?

“Um, hi, my name is Bill. I am looking for a Dani Milton. Is she here?”

He knew his English was heavily accented, but he hoped the woman on the other side could understand him. “Are you a friend of hers?”

“Y-yes?”

‘O god this is so weird, why didn’t I plan what I was going to say?’

“I’ll just buzz you up then. The door is open.”

*~~~Baby~~~Kaulitz~~~*

Clair opened the apartment door to a very beautiful…person. She couldn’t quite tell if ‘it’ was male or female.

“Hello, are you Bill?”

‘It’ had to be a boy, with a name like Bill, but with such delicate features it was hard to tell, especially when she noted his painted nails and long hair. She smiled at the ‘boy’ and motioned for him to step into the room.

“Yes ma’am, Is Dani here?”

Bill felt so nervous; his palms were actually sweating, that didn’t happen often, although often nervous before a show he hardly ever experienced sweaty palms, maybe it was because he wasn’t wearing his wrist cuffs? He also hadn’t worn any makeup so he wouldn’t be recognized.

“Yes, why don’t you just go on up to her room, it’s the last one at the top of the stairs.”

*~~~Baby~~~Kaulitz~~~*

Bill walked up the stairs, feeling his nerves tighten by the second, he shouldn’t be here, he should have left this all to David. He almost turned around but then he was standing in front of her door.

It was a simple door, nothing fancy about it but simply looking at it gave Bill some courage. He never considered himself a coward (not that any man would ever think that of himself,) but he was finding this whole situation, which he had partially created for himself, very nerve wracking.

With a deep breath and a steady hand, he knocked on the door. When after a few moments there was still no reply, Bill decided to simply go inside.

He was slightly surprised by the mess he encountered. There were ‘things’ all over the floor, clothing, books, cds (one was the Scream album), and shoes, lots and lots of shoes, he noticed most of them were high heals. At the wall opposite the door was a bed and in the bed there was a lump.

Bill made his way to the bed, stepping as gingerly as possible through the mess; he noticed that some of the clothes were folded, strange indeed. When he reached the bed he stared down at the girl sleeping there.

“Dani?”

*~~~Baby~~~Kaulitz~~~*

Dani awoke to the strangest (and perhaps most wonderful?) sight she had ever been blessed with. Leaning over her was a very beautiful creature, he looked vaguely familiar. She blinked a few times to clear her vision, he was still there.

“Dani?”

The being had a very heavy accent but it was cute and it made her smile but then she frowned, why was he in her room? She sat up quickly and barely missed banging heads with the person. “Excuse me, what are you doing in my room?” She questioned as she wiped at her eyes to clear the gunk from them.

“Your mother said I could come up. I have to talk to you,” he frowned, that didn’t come out as smoothly as he had hoped, “I’m Bill by the way.” He offered his hand to the girl.

Dani was still very confused, but her manners prompted her to take his hand and shake it, she noticed that his nails were painted in a very familiar way.

“I’m Daniela. Why are you here?”

Once again straight to the point, no use sweet talking the dude, he’d probably just think she was flirting with him. ‘He must get that a lot, with a face like that,' she thought to herself as she let go of his hand.

He licked his lips, and she noticed a flash of silver. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a crumpled envelope. He offered it for her to take and when she did, she recognized it immediately.

She was beginning to get a very weird feeling as her mind pieced together the evidence she had gathered, painted nails, familiar face, tongue ring, long black hair, eyebrow ring, tall, fashionably dressed, and the letter she had sent to the father of her baby.

“Bill, as in Bill Kaulitz?”

She gulped

*~~~Baby~~~Kaulitz~~~*

Bill smiled his trademark smile, flashing white teeth.

“Ja, that’s me!”

When she just stared, he began to feel nervous again, why hadn’t he planned what he was going to say? Why, oh why had he just jumped on a plane and come to see her without thinking it out before hand, but then planning never had been one of his areas of expertise. “Um, you said that you had proof that the kid is Tom’s?” He licked his lips again and watched as she fidgeted.

“Uh, not yet, I’m getting a paternity test done on Friday, but I won’t have a sample of the baby’s DNA until at least the next Friday.” She hadn’t made eye contact once; she simply stared at her comforter as she picked at it.

The silence stretched for a few moments before Bill cleared his throat. He had to do something to ease the tension. “Oh, okay.”

It wasn’t working.

“So, do you want to go for coffee, or something?”

'Great job, Bill, can’t you think of anything better to say?’ he thought to himself.

He licked his lips again as the girl raised her face to finally look him in the eye. “I don’t think I should drink coffee, I don’t really like coffee anyway... How about a walk?”

Her face brightened, and her dark brown eyes shined. He smiled and nodded his head in agreement. She jumped out of the bed and began searching the floor for something.

“Aha!” She picked up a rumpled piece of clothing, and he almost laughed as he watched her wrestle her way into the overly large, red hoodie. She looked ridiculous, kind of like an apple on a stick, with her legs sticking out the bottom of the garment that fell to her mid thigh.

She ruffled her hair, and turned to him. “Ready?” She smiled, and Bill couldn’t resist smiling back, but it struck him that she wasn’t the kind of girl he would have expected Tom to spend time with, let alone sleep with, she was too innocent and normal looking. She wasn’t plain, but after seeing mountains of girls almost everyday she didn’t really stick out.

“Ja, lets go.”

*~~~Baby~~~Kaulitz~~~*

They were walking down the quiet Nanaimo street, hand’s in pocket’s, Saki was following them at a reasonable distance, he had waited in the apartment hallway while Bill had gone to meet Dani. The silence was still thick, broken only by the scuffing of shoes on pavement. They both stared at their feet; it had surprised Bill that Dani had slipped on her shoes without putting socks on first.

“You are not wearing any socks,” he pointed out.

“I never wear socks, they feel weird, and usually I just wear sandals…” she trailed off feeling a little embarrassed.

He began to laugh. “I never liked wearing them either, but when I started wearing shoes all the time, for concerts and photo shoots, it kind of became mandatory,” he explained, grinning he asked another question. “So how old are you?”

She blushed, and ducked her head. “Nineteen, I’m older than you,” she mumbled.

“So, how did you and Tom…You know, meet?” She began playing with her chin length hair, twirling it and then tucking it behind her ear, he noticed she had two earring holes and both were empty.

“At the Vancouver after party, my friend Kaisha was hanging with Georg and I kind of tagged along and met Tom, we um, talked for a little bit. I guess I had a little too much to drink and we ended up in my hotel room.” She blushed and bit her lip. “T-the condom ripped, I found out later, because there was, ‘stuff’ on the bed…” she trailed off again, this time turning her head away from Bill, to look at the street.

“Are you sure, that the baby is his?” Bill had to ask, he felt instinctively that he could trust her, but living in the world he did, one couldn’t rely solely on instincts.

She stopped walking and he turned to face her, she had hung her head again and was fiddling with her hands. “I don’t make a habit of sleeping with guys, so I’m quite sure it’s his. The last guy before him was two years ago…”

‘Wow’ Bill thought. “Two years? Wow, that’s…a long time,” he finished lamely. This girl really didn’t fit with Tom’s usual line up of girls, it was quite strange really. “So, what do you do for fun?” He asked to change the subject and he watched as she seemed to unfold.

“Lot’s of stuff, I play video games, go out shopping, though I hate shopping for clothes, I go out with friends, but mostly I sing in choir, that’s my favourite-”

Bill interrupted her, “no way, I love singing!”

She blinked a few times and an odd smile curved her lips, and it made Bill stop and think about what he had said, and then she laughed and he couldn’t help but laugh along.

They continued walking and talking for a while, Bill kept asking her question and she kept answering them. He learned that she hated milk, except in Fruit Loops and that it drove her crazy when the toilet paper unrolled towards the wall. He learned that her biological father had died nine years ago and that she kept a bottle of his cologne so she could remember how he used to smell. He also learned that she talked almost non stop once she began, but he didn’t mind, for once he didn’t have to fill in all the quiet spots.

*~~~Baby~~~Kaulitz~~~*

As they began their walk back to Dani’s house, Bill’s phone rang. “Hallo Tomi!” Dani heard Bill speak into the phone, a large smile on his face, as she listened she could just make out that the person on the other side was speaking German.

“Wo sind Sie?” Where are you? Bill could tell from Tom’s tone that he was upset. Bill winced as he answered.

“Ich bin in Nanaimo.” I am in Nanaimo. The conversation continued, with shouts from Tom and soothing words from Bill, when the yelling became louder Bill pulled the phone from his ear and yelled into the mic. “Ich werde mit Ihnen später auf Wiedersehen sprechen!” I will talk to you later, bye!

With a quick snap of his wrist he closed the phone and breathed a sigh of relief. “He is coming here.” Bill turned to her and smiled. Dani saw the pavement rush up to meet her as her world went black.

End Notes:
Alright hope you like it
